MADISON (WITI) — Madison police are investigating a fatal crash that killed two people on Friday night, August 8th.
It happened in the 4400 block of Barby Lane in Madison — around 11:30 p.m.
Madison police say upon their arrival at the scene, they discovered a car being driven northbound struck an unoccupied, parked vehicle.
The vehicle then continued northbound, striking the curb, leaving the roadway — and slamming into a tree.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene — and a second person was taken to the hospital, where they later died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.
The names of those involved in this crash haven’t yet been released.
Police say their investigation into this crash is ongoing.
